I am married and have two beautiful daughters. I love papercrafting and computer gaming. I am also in the process of a lifestyle change. My husband and I just started the South Beach Diet so we can get healthy for ourselves, each other, and our girls.
I have been encouraged by a group of ladies on the Cricut message board to do a daily challenge. Each day for an hour we are suppose to do something creative (i.e. Layout, card, other craft project). Last night I ended up crafting for 2 hours and created these two cards. The first card is a valentines day card that I am going to give to my hubby. The second card is a mothers day card. I created both using the Wild Card Cart and decorated with stickles.
I have been working on a new project, but I am waiting on a delivery to finish it up. I hope I will be able to share some photos of it on Tuesday. I am excited about this one, because I plan on it being used as a holiday tradition for years to come.
In the last year I have started making jewelry. I started with a Baptism Bracelet for my then unborn niece. She was born in August 2009. I have also made Baptism or Birthstone Bracelets for friends children and for family. I use sterling silver, pearls, and unleaded crystal gemstones. I also made over 20 different pieces of all sorts for friends and family for Christmas. Unfortunately I was in a hurry and did not get any photos. I know bad me. Here are some of the bracelets I have made. Thanks for looking.
This is the first big project I did after I got my cricut. I had used it a few times to make some letters for layouts, but for these invitations I had to make several (I am thinking close to 20) of them. I know they are simple, but I really like how they turned out. My daughter loved them too. She had a bowling party with a soccer theme. I used the Beyond Birthday Cart.
I am very excited. For the first time in over a year I am going to go scrapbooking with the girls. I hope we will be able to make this a monthly event. I have many projects I want to do now that I have fun new toys to play with. Can't wait to share some fun pictures from tonights event.
I decided to start a blog so I can share my projects and receive feedback to help me improve my papercrafting. Yesterday my postal carrier and the UPS delivery driver were greeted fondly as they delivered my Zutter Bind it All and my Cricut Expression. Last week I received my Cricut Design Studio software, my Cricut Jukebox, and my Hannah Montana Cartridge. I love getting packages. Now that I have all of my new toys I will be able to start posting my creations. I can't wait to share them with you.
I work hard on my hobby so please feel free to borrow ideas, but don't claim it as your own or use it for the sale of your projects. If I borrow ideas from others I acknowledge them whenever possible; please show the same respect and acknowledge my work when you share it with others. All material on my blog is copyrighted so please keep that in mind.
